  ELECTROCOAGULATION

Electrocoagulation (EC) is a broad-spectrum treatment technology that removes total suspended solids (TSS), heavy metals, emulsified oils, bacteria, PHOSPHATE, NITRATE, and other contaminants from water.

As water passes through the electrocoagulation cell, multiple reactions take place simultaneously. First, a metal ion is driven into the water. On the surface of the cathode, water is hydrolyzed into hydrogen gas and hydroxyl groups. Meanwhile, electrons flow freely to destabilize surface charges on suspended solids and emulsified oils. As the reaction continues, large flocs form that entrain suspended solids, heavy metals, emulsified oils and other contaminants. Finally, the flocs are removed from the water in downstream solids separation and filtration process steps.

•  1. Advanced oxidation – Is a process where ozone bubbles combines with UV light to create highly oxygenated/energized bubbles to eliminate impurities in the water.
• 2. Optimized fractionation - The rising and passing of energized bubbles through UV.
• 3. Photoelectric UV - Use for its disinfecting power which totally destroys harmful pathogens and converts some heavy metals.
• 4.Ozonation - Ozone less nitric acid
• 5. Polarization - molecular breakdown and conversions of chemicals and heavy metals inside the chambers of the technology.

1. Ozone Treatment Tank (Main-treatment)

The primary purpose of this treatment process unit is to oxidize Bio-chemical oxygen

demand (BOD) and the oil and grease (O/G). The fluid in the tank is continuously circulated

through an ozone diffusion system. The main treatment using the injected ozone gas

breaks down fats, oils, grease, and organics in the wastewater. The larger organic material

and sludge oxidized.

2. Filtering Treatment Tank (Effluent-Polishing)

The filtering treatment process unit's purpose is to further reduce biochemical oxygen

demand (BOD) and total suspended solids (TSS) through the multi-media filtering method.

As the treated solution from the main process is transferred to the multi-media filtering

stage, filtering the remaining organic material, and removing all color, and odor of the final

effluent
